Terms of Service

1. The agreement#

These terms govern your use of the Serpix API and console (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use Serpix on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to do so.

2. The service#

Serpix provides programmatic access to publicly available search results, returned as structured data, along with a console for managing keys, credits, and usage. We continuously improve the service and may add, change, or retire features; when a change meaningfully affects you, we will give notice where practicable.

3. Accounts, organizations, and keys#

Keep your account information accurate and your API keys secret. Keys belong to an organization, and everything done with a key counts as that organization's use, so revoke a key immediately if you believe it leaked. You are responsible for the activity of members you invite to your organization.

4. Credits and payment#

The service is prepaid. You buy credits through our payment processor, one successful search costs one credit, and failed requests are not charged. Credits never expire. Purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise or these terms say we refund you. Prices for future purchases may change; credits you already hold are unaffected. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

5. Acceptable use#

Use the service lawfully. You must not:

• use the service or its output to break the law or violate the rights of others,
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service,
• share, sell, or rotate API keys to evade metering or limits,
• resell raw access to the service itself as a competing product, or
• use the output to send spam or to harm, harass, or profile private individuals.

You are responsible for making sure your use of the data you retrieve complies with the laws and obligations that apply to you.

6. Search results and third parties#

Search results reflect publicly available web content produced by third parties. Serpix is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or any other search engine. We do not control third-party content and make no promises about its accuracy, completeness, or fitness for your purpose.

7. Availability#

We work to keep the service fast and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. Failed requests are never charged. Planned maintenance and unplanned incidents happen; status information and support are available at support@serpix.io.

8. Disclaimer#

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability#

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Serpix is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination#

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account without cause or discontinue the service, we will refund your unused credit balance.

11. Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the console. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
