Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

1. Who we are

Serpix (“we”, “us”) provides a search results API and a customer console at serpix.io. This policy explains what data we collect when you use them, why we collect it, and the choices you have. For anything this policy doesn't answer, write to support@serpix.io.

2. What we collect

Account data. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares (name, email, avatar). Authentication is handled by our sign-in provider; we never see or store passwords.

Billing data. Credit purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never receive or store full card numbers. We keep records of your purchases, credit balance, and invoices.

API usage data. For every API request we record the search query and its parameters, the request outcome, timing, and the API key and organization that made it. We also retain the results of your searches, including the underlying page content, so you can retrieve them later from your account. Treat anything you send as a query as data you are storing with us.

Technical data. Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, and request metadata. We use these for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.

Cookies. The console uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to ad networks.

3. How we use it

We use your data to run the service: authenticate you, execute and meter your searches, maintain your request history, process payments, send transactional email (sign-in codes, receipts, and service notices), keep accounts secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the quality and reliability of our parsing. We do not sell personal data and we do not show ads.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers we need to operate: Stripe for payments, our authentication provider for sign-in, and cloud infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, and email delivery. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect the service and its users.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Request logs and archived search results are retained so your history and result retrieval keep working. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will remove it, except for records we need to keep for billing, tax, or legal reasons.

6. Your rights

You can access and update your profile in the console. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by writing to support@serpix.io. We answer every request.

7. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit. API keys are stored hashed and shown only once at creation. Access to production data is restricted and payment details never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you.

8. Children

Serpix is a business tool and is not directed at children. Do not use the service if you are under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the console.
